How this website handles your data
This website does not collect or store personal data. The contact form does not send information to any server: it prepares, on your own device, the text of an email that you can review, copy, download and send from your email application.
The website does not use cookies, does not store information in the browser and does not load third-party services (analytics, advertising, social media or external fonts).
What data we process
We process the data you provide when you write to us or call us: name, company, position, business contact details, country and the content of your enquiry (product, formats, volumes, destination, attached documents). Please do not include personal data that is not necessary for the enquiry.
What we use it for
- To answer your enquiry and work out a supply proposal.
- To assess the offers of manufacturers and suppliers who approach us.
- To manage any resulting business relationship and its follow-up.
We do not carry out profiling or take automated decisions. We will not send you commercial communications by email without your consent, except in the cases permitted by Article 21 of the LSSI-CE.
Legal basis
- The taking of pre-contractual measures at your request and, where applicable, the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Our legitimate interest in maintaining professional contact with companies and their representatives (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Article 19 LOPDGDD).
- Compliance with legal obligations, for example commercial and tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep it
For as long as the enquiry or business relationship continues and, thereafter, for the periods necessary to deal with any liabilities and legal obligations (for example, six years for commercial records under Article 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code). Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are kept for a maximum of two years from the last contact.
Who we share it with
As a commercial office, in order to look into your enquiry we share the necessary commercial information (product, specification, volume, format, destination) with manufacturers or clients. Your contact details are only disclosed to the other party when necessary for the transaction and with your knowledge.
The providers of email and hosting services may also access the data, as data processors and with the safeguards of Article 28 GDPR. Data is not disclosed to third parties unless required by law.
If you contact us on WhatsApp
If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your message is transmitted through that service, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which processes the data under its own terms and privacy policy and may transfer it outside the European Economic Area. For our part, we process your messages for the same purposes, on the same legal basis and for the same periods described in this policy. If you prefer, you can write to us by email.
International transfers
We work with manufacturers and clients in different countries, some outside the European Economic Area. Where handling your enquiry requires disclosing data to a company located outside the EEA, the transfer will take place because it is necessary to implement the pre-contractual measures or perform the contract you have requested (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR), and it will be limited to the data strictly required.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to iberfoods@iberfoods.com and stating which right you are exercising. If you believe that the processing does not comply with the regulations, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Security and changes
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data. This website is intended for professionals and businesses, not for minors. We may update this policy; the date of the latest revision is shown at the top of the page.
